Iptc not showing on Photoshop CS3

    Hi,

I'm writing IPTC data to jpgs using imgx6.4, and it worked well until recently. I set imgx.jpgmarkerstosave=&3FFF to save all metadata.

New photoshop cs3 doesn't show the iptc data anymore. If I open the same image in Photoshop 6, the data is showing correcty. Anyone know what happened, and what can be done to make the data visible in CS3?

     We did another test:

    - write iptc data to the jpg in Photoshop 6 -> open in CS3 -> doesn't show

    - write iptc data to the jpg in CS3 -> open in Photoshop6 -> shows -> change the data in Photoshop6 -> open again in CS3 -> changes are showing

Maybe this helps to find out just how and where cs3 saves iptc.

    Thanks,

    Werner

This may have something to do with IMGX not supporting the latest few revisions of the IPTC format. As IMGX is no longer actively maintained and support will end in December of 2008, we will not be updating this functionality in the future. See this press release for more information.

Some of the tags you are writing may be damaging the image somehow. You may want to try using ExifTool to validate your outputted tags.
