DotImage 11.0.0.10 (DotImage 11.0, Fixpack 10) includes a fix for a rather nasty System.AccessViolationException. The root cause of this was in the underlying Tesseract libraries. Therefore, in order to fix this issue, we needed to update to a later version of Tesseract 3 (3.04).

This means that you will need to ensure that you copy over the new Tesseract OCR resources when deploying.. using 11.0.0.10 or later, you should copy the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Atalasoft\DotImage11.0\bin\OCRResources\Tesseract\v3.04\
folder over to your target system and remove any v3.02 folder/resources

If you have an OcrResourceLoader, you will need to also update it to point to your v3.04 tessdata resources

If you have a need / desire to see our Tesseract OCR Engine support add Tesseract4Engine please feel free to make a separate / new support ticket and request this and refer to this KB article (so that we may add your request to the list, this helps us to determine if there is enough customer demand to justify the development time/effort to add a whole new Tesseract engine to our SDK).
