OmniPageEngine is new in 11.3 and is meant to be a replacement for AbbyyEngine (which is removed in 11.3 and forward)

Customers with existing OCR licenses for AbbyyEngine will have the needed OmniPage licensing added to their existing serials. Sales should be sending you information on the updated licensing via email. If you have questions or encounter issues, please feel free to create a support case.

Process to update AbbyyEngine to OmniPageEngine:

1. install DotImage 11.4 SDK on your development machine
2. Download OmniPage OCR resources and place in c:\program Files (x86)\Atalasoft\DotImage 11.4\bin\OcrResources\OmniPage\
3. Activate your OCR license for 11.4
4. Open a COPY of your solution that used AbbyyEngine for OCR
5. Remove the reference to Atalasoft.dotImage.Ocr.Abbyy.dll
6. Add a reference to Atalasoft.dotImage.Ocr.OmniPage.dll
7. Change any using Atalasoft.dotImage.Ocr.Abbyy to using Atalasoft.dotImage.Ocr.OmniPage
8. Change any AbbyyLoader to OmniPageLoader and update OCR Resources path
9. Test and find any errors or instances where you still have AbbyyEngine and change them to OmniPageEngine
10. Change any Abbyy-specific ICR objects to follow OmniPage ICR
