FAQ: How can I hide a webcam interface? (Desktop TWAIN Scanning)

Normally you can't hide the interface of a webcam because it creates a security risk. However, you can use our Acquisition Demo to test it with your webcam.

1. Download and install DotImage; DotTwain is installed with it by default
2. Download the TWAIN Acquisition Demo
3. Open the solution, buld and run it
4. Select your webcam from the File -> Choose Device menu
5. Click the File -> Hide Interface menu item to check it
6. Start a scan using the File -> Acquire... menu item
7. If the webcam interface still shows, then the driver does not support hiding it
