Atalasoft SDK licenses are generally per-developer.. meaning each developer needs their own licenses under their own account. When you need to bring on a new developer to your team (either a new hire or replacing someone who has left the company or moved to another team etc), The basic process is the same:
The New developer needs to create an account with Atalasoft if they haven't done so already.
Next, you need to supply them with a valid SDK serial for each of the products they're using
(Example: DotImage Document Imaging serials (the base SDK) start with DID2, but if the developer also needs our PdfReader add-on, they will also need a PRP2 serial, If they need barcode reading, they need a BARD serial etc...)
If your company has SDK serials under maintenance that have not yet been assigned to a developer, you can provide them with a set of serials.
If your developer is replacing someone who has left the company or left the team, their licenses can't just directly be given to the developer - you'll first need to create a support case to ask us to clear the serial(s) from the existing developer so that they can be assigned to someone new. This is a fairly quick process, usually taking less than a business day (We're here M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm Eastern (New York) time)
If you have no available serials and no developers leaving the team you will need to contact your sales account rep to inquire about additional licensing.
So, to summarize:
You give them one of your available serials not in use by another developer (if you have developers who have left and need to clear them you can make a case and provde the serial and the name and we can work with you to remove them, OR you can have your company purchase additional developer licenses if you require more.
They can then they just activate the license with the account they created to become a licensed developer. They remain so as long as the license is in their name and the license is under maintenance.
